Ok so you want a video for your business… how does it work, talk us through the steps…

1. Pre-Production

BEFORE ANY FILMING TAKES PLACE.

Following an initial meeting in-person or via Zoom/WhatsApp to gather information about your company and objectives, we will create a proposal document for you. The proposal includes our analysis of your company and goals in order to clearly define the video objectives and create a detailed budget.
Once we reach an agreement, pre-production begins and we create and develop a production schedule, the concept and script, identify appropriate locations or a studio, cast any actors or voice over artists, and recruit any specialist crew members. We ask for these to be agreed by you and we move into production. Pre-production typically requires anywhere from one week to three months depending on the scale and complexity of the project.

2. Production

NOW IT’S TIME TO FILM YOUR PROJECT.

Depending on the scope of your project, a live action production takes between one and five days. Adverts or brand films require approximately two or three shooting days, each lasting up to 14 hours. Shorter content such as micro-promos or cinemagraphs may require just one day. A shooting day begins with the cast and crew arriving on set for any construction, set dressing, lighting and hair/make up to take place. Following this the crew work to create the shots planned during pre-production in the most efficient way possible. Creating the assets for a motion graphics or animation video will take 2-4 weeks, again depending on the scope on the project.

3. Post-Production

FILMING COMPLETE, OFF TO THE EDITING SUITE.

Each video requires anywhere from one week to three months depending on the scale and complexity of the project. Typical tasks to be completed may include transcoding, synching video/audio, shot selection and organisation, creating a rough cut with unmixed audio, compositing, sound design, creating a 2nd cut with composited shots and finished sound design, adding voiceover and graphics, colour grading, finalising the cut and finally exporting. You will be kept in the loop with progress and invited to give feedback at key stages throughout the process.
